Reposting etc from @clodafoto
NB: 99.999% of people are really decent and respectful about stuff like this & I appreciate that hugely. You probably don’t even need reminding about any of this! But if in doubt, have a look below:
REPOSTING: Thank you so much for reposting the graphics. If sharing to your Instagram story, please share directly from Instagram so that it can be tapped on from your story (and therefore links back to my page - please don’t screenshot and then share). If sharing to your grid, please tag me & leave the watermark in the image (don’t crop it out etc).
For sharing the graphics or words outside of Instagram, please give clear credit in the post (eg ‘graphic / words by clodafoto on Instagram), be it a tweet, Facebook post etc. Please don’t post without credit. Please don’t crop out the watermark from the graphics.
USE OF PHRASES: Please ask for my permission before you consider using the phrases on clodafoto (eg for tattoos, personal work, online activities etc) so that I know how and where they might be used.
Please don’t use the graphics or phrases for commercial or advertising purposes (i.e. on anything you plan to sell, advertise or use for advertising, regardless of how big or small the project is). Feel free to get in touch with me if you need further clarification. NB: If a graphic doesn’t contain a ‘phrase’ per sé (eg it just says ‘tá tú go hálainn’), or if it contains a seanfhocal, the caption will just say ‘graphic by…’ . It goes without saying that you don’t need anyone’s permission to use a seanfhocal or something as straightforward as ‘you’re lovely’!
TRANSLATION: I’m not a translator, so I wouldn’t be best placed to translate your business name / tattoo / piece of text etc for you.If you need a translator, let me know and I’ll do my best to guide you in the right direction.
LEARNING GAEILGE: Duolingo is a good starting point, and the DCU FutureLearn programme is great. In general though I’d really recommend doing a taught course if you want to get a firm grasp on the language. Bear in mind that courses generally require a fee as teachers need to be paid for their time.
